By accessing or using Principal Task — including the website at https://www.principaltask.com, the web application, or the iOS and Android apps — you agree to be bound by this agreement and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with these terms, do not use Principal Task. The materials and software contained in or accessible through Principal Task are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law.
Schwenk Technology Group, LLC grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Principal Task for your personal or professional purposes. Under this license you may not:
This license terminates automatically if you violate any of these restrictions, or may be terminated by Schwenk Technology Group, LLC at any time.
Principal Task offers optional premium subscriptions on a recurring basis. By subscribing, you authorize the applicable payment processor — Stripe for web subscriptions, or Apple App Store / Google Play for mobile subscriptions — to charge the subscription fee on a recurring basis until you cancel.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
Cancellation. You may cancel at any time through your account settings or through the platform through which you subscribed (App Store, Google Play, or the Principal Task web app). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access to premium features until that date.
Refunds. Refunds for App Store purchases are governed by Apple's refund policy. Refunds for Google Play purchases are governed by Google's refund policy. Refunds for web subscriptions may be requested by contacting [email protected].
Price changes. Schwenk Technology Group, LLC may change subscription pricing with reasonable notice. Continued use of a subscription after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
You own the content you create in Principal Task — including tasks, subtasks, notes, folders, contexts, and templates. Schwenk Technology Group, LLC does not claim any ownership interest in your data and will not access, use, or disclose it except as necessary to operate and maintain the service, or as required by law.
By publishing a template to the public template library, you grant Schwenk Technology Group, LLC and all Principal Task users a free, unrestricted, perpetual license to use and modify that template. Private templates remain your own and are not shared.
Schwenk Technology Group, LLC is not responsible for the content of public templates contributed by other users, or for the content of any third-party sites linked from within Principal Task. Inclusion of a link or published template does not imply endorsement by Schwenk Technology Group, LLC.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You may delete your account at any time through the app or by contacting [email protected]. Upon deletion, your data will be removed from active systems in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Principal Task is provided on an "as is" basis. Schwenk Technology Group, LLC makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and disclaims all other warranties including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Schwenk Technology Group, LLC is not liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use Principal Task, including loss of data, loss of profit, or business interruption, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Schwenk Technology Group, LLC's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to Principal Task or this agreement shall not exceed the amount you paid to Schwenk Technology Group, LLC for Principal Task in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $10.00, whichever is greater.
Principal Task does not include artificial intelligence features and does not send your data to any AI service. Principal Task does support connecting third-party AI agents to your account via the Model Context Protocol (MCP). This connection is opt-in and requires your explicit authorization.
When you connect an AI agent via MCP, that agent accesses your Principal Task data under your direction and subject to its own terms of service and privacy policy. Schwenk Technology Group, LLC is not responsible for how third-party AI services handle, process, or retain data they receive through an authorized MCP connection.
Schwenk Technology Group, LLC is not liable for any loss, damage, or unintended outcome resulting from the actions of a third-party AI agent operating on your account, including but not limited to accidental data deletion, incorrect data modification, or decisions made based on an AI agent's interpretation of your data.
You may revoke MCP access at any time through your account settings.
Principal Task is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Your use of those platforms is also governed by their respective terms:
Where this agreement does not address a particular matter, the terms of the applicable platform apply.
Schwenk Technology Group, LLC may update these terms at any time. Continued use of Principal Task after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of South Dakota, USA. You irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that state.
